Let us help you unlock the clarity, energy, and purpose to lead the way forward. Corporate leadership teams - this Experience is for you to reset, reconnect, and lead differently.

Is Your Organization Pushing
to Do More with Less?

More profits. More customers. More tech.
With fewer people. Less budget. Limited time.
Leaders are overwhelmed. Burnout is rising.
Everyone’s moving faster — but getting less done.

"What if the real solution isn’t to go faster
— but to slow down?"

Slow Down to Speed Up

At the Midwest Leadership Experience, we guide your team through a 2.5-day, 3-night journey to reset how you lead — and how you live.

Set in the peaceful beauty of Central Wisconsin, you’ll stay at a curated Airbnb cabin where you’ll disconnect from technology and reconnect with purpose.

This is more than a retreat — it's a reawakening.

You’ll be hosted by me, Kathie Rotz, and my team — your guides for an unforgettable experience of nature, movement, mindful leadership, reflection, and growth.

From Reflection to Renewal

At the Midwest Leadership Experience, leadership growth begins with slowing down. Each day is designed to help you reconnect with yourself, your purpose, and your team—so you can return to work with clarity, confidence, and renewed energy.

Centering

Find Your Balance
Day 1: We begin with movement—starting from your core. A fitness session and outdoor activities (weather permitting—even paddleboarding!) will ground you physically while quietly preparing you for deeper insight. In the evening, we’ll shift that awareness inward, exploring how physical balance mirrors the challenge of staying centered as a leader. You'll begin drawing connections between core strength and leading from your values.

Curiosity

Lead with Questions
Day 2 invites you to explore how asking the right questions—of yourself and others—can shift your leadership. Whether you're watching the sunrise, playing pickleball, or tackling a local scavenger hunt, you'll experience how curiosity builds trust, encourages growth, and invites collaboration. Through play and reflection, you'll begin to see how leading with questions is more powerful than leading with control.

Creativity

Unplug to Discover
Day 3 invites you to disconnect from constant interruptions and reconnect with your most powerful leadership asset: your creative mind. In a tech-free environment, we’ll engage in hands-on activities that activate the right side of your brain—where problem-solving, vision, and innovation begin. You’ll learn how anxiety blocks creativity and how intentional space invites clarity. Great leaders don’t just manage tasks—they imagine what’s possible.

The Real Return on Investment (ROI)

What do you really gain from stepping away for three days? Here’s what you and your team will walk away with:

🌿 Clarity – Know what truly matters
Through guided reflection, leadership conversations, and space to think (without constant interruptions), you’ll identify what’s most essential—for you, your role, and your team.
🔥 You’ll leave with: A personalized action plan to align your energy, time, and resources to what drives real impact.

💪 Confidence – Reclaim your leadership presence
Through physical and mental challenges—on the mat, on the paddleboard, or in conversation—you’ll quiet self-doubt and strengthen your inner voice.
🔥 You’ll leave with: Practical tools and mindset shifts to lead tough conversations, own your decisions, and show up fully.

🔄 Resilience – Build habits that last
From daily wellness practices to digital detox, you’ll experience how stepping away builds strength for when you step back in.
🔥 You’ll leave with: Simple, sustainable routines to maintain your energy and focus long after the retreat ends.

💡 Inspiration – Spark new ideas
Unplugging creates space for creative thinking. Through playful activities, nature, and conversation, you’ll access the innovative part of your brain.
🔥 You’ll leave with: Fresh ideas, renewed problem-solving energy, and new ways to lead your team forward.

🌟 Purpose – Reconnect with your why
In quiet moments of journaling, conversation, and nature, you’ll rediscover what drew you to leadership in the first place.
🔥 You’ll leave with: A deeper sense of meaning—and the motivation to lead with intention, not just obligation.

Meet Your Guides

Hi, I’m Kathie Rotz, your guide for the Midwest Leadership Experience. I created MLE from my own journey of learning to lead with clarity, calm, and purpose—especially in a world that rarely slows down. As a leadership coach, former corporate trainer, and someone who finds peace in nature with my husband, John, and our golden retrievers, Oskee and Simba, I believe that when we step away from the noise, we step into our best selves.

At MLE, I’ll walk alongside you as you recharge, refocus, and return to your work—and your life—with stronger, renewed energy.
